R+L Carriers Bolsters Operational Capacity with Four New Service Centers
6/24/2024 - Wilmington, Ohio - Ohio-based transportation company R+L Carriers is pleased to announce the opening of four new service centers in Henderson, Colorado; Kansas City, Kansas; Wheeling, Illinois; and Salt Lake City, Utah. In an effort to bring the highest level of service quality, the truckline acquired these facilities, renovating each terminal to meet R+L Carriers industry-leading service standards and customer expectations.
The Henderson, CO service center is located at 9900 E. 102nd Avenue with easy access to Interstate 76. It features 81 dock doors, a six-bay maintenance shop, a two-lane fuel island and 9,000 square feet of office space. This facility will service major local markets in Denver, Boulder and Fort Hudson, as well as freight heading through the east-west Interstate 70 and north-south Interstate 25 corridors. The Henderson service center began operations on June 17.
Located at 9711 State Ave., the Kansas City service center is positioned in the Kansas section of the city and not Missouri. This location boasts 104 dock doors, a four-bay maintenance shop, a fuel island and 7,500 square feet of office space. With easy access to Interstate 70, the terminal can readily process freight moving along a major east-west corridor, as well as shipments crossing the Kansas-Missouri border. The Kansas City and Wichita facilities occupy R+L Carriers' service center footprint in the state. The Kansas City service center began operations on June 24.
The Wheeling, IL service center will replace the Melrose Park location, moving operations 18 miles north to 1000 Chaddick Drive. This new terminal offers 143 dock doors in addition to 7,800 square feet of office space. With the increased capacity, it will continue serving surrounding markets in the Chicago area. The Wheeling service center began operations on June 24.
The new Salt Lake City service center sits at 4375 West 1385 South, replacing the current location at 2781 West 2180 South, West Valley City. It features 117 dock doors, a six-bay maintenance shop, two-lane fuel island and 8,500 square feet of office space. This facility will provide service in Salt Lake City itself, as well as major markets surrounding Provo, Ogden, Logan and West Wendover. The Salt Lake City service center will begin operations on July 1.
