1/12/2026 - Wilmington, Ohio - Ohio-based transportation company R+L Carriers has announced a sponsorship deal with Cole Floyd, a professional angler from Leesburg, Ohio. Floyd's achievements include three Major League Fishing (MLF) career wins, as well as 35 Top 10 placements and 51 scores in the Top 50.
Floyd will square off against 50 other pros in the 2026 MLF Bass Pro Tour, a multi-event competition spanning nearly eight months of the year. The first event takes place in Guntersville, Alabama, at the B&W Trailer Hitches Stage 1 Tournament, January 15-18. The tour concludes August 9, 2026, during the final day of the Stage 7 - Lake Erie Tournament in Sandusky, Ohio.

Floyd began competing in the MLF Bass Pro Tour during its 2022 season and has increased his overall points every year since. At the conclusion of his 2025 tournament run, Floyd finished 4th in points, qualifying for REDCREST and Heavy Hitters events at the future 2026 MLF Bass Pro Tour circuit. Prior to Bass Pro Tour appearances, Floyd also found success at the Tackle Warehouse Invitationals and multiple Bass Fishing League championships.
