Quality is not just a buzzword at R+L Carriers. We take our commitment to quality very seriously, spending $1 million each year in this endeavor. Our Quality Program involves all our associates because we know that quality service doesn't just happen, it is only achieved through training, education, communication, and motivation.
The R+L Carriers Quality Program is an effort to train, educate, and motivate employees to commit
to quality in every aspect of their work through hands-on training, video training libraries, and systematic
meetings to discuss quality initiatives and concerns. Providing the customer with quality service is our number one priority.
Our team of Quality Directors continuously travels our service center network providing hands-on training. It is their
job to monitor the proper use of equipment and see that the correct freight handling procedures are in place. Other
facets of the Program include the use of videos for education and feedback. Video production has been brought in-house
so that immediate action can be taken when a problem is identified. A complete video training library is maintained at
every service center. Additionally, dock and driver Quality Team meetings are held systemwide.
Our Quality Program is directly responsible for leading us to the development of new techniques and tools for handling
your freight. As an example, we now use logistic loadbars in our trailers. These aid in protecting your freight from origin
to destination by allowing the freight to be double-stacked without the upper freight touching the lower freight.
